@nightngale1998 I substituted Zantac for Omeprazole.

@dandl48 does ask a good question, though. Have you discussed this change with your doctor? Do you have a specific reason for the change. Long term use of Omeprazole can result in other health issues. Is this the reason why you want to change?

Omeprazole (Prilosec) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), used to treat certain conditions where there is too much acid in the stomach. There is a need to take a break from the medicine. Take a break after 6 weeks or so. Read WebMD. Ask your doctor
