Does anyone know if some clinic is planning a clinical trial of stem cell therapy for arthritis hip pain?

Mayo.org has a lengthy list of trials. I find it a good place to check.

Hello, Just had BMAC procedure on right hip @ Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, was told this procedure is not usually successful for hips, and was required to pay out of pocket, BUT I am an optimist, so I want it to work for ME. Will post when I know more of the outcome, now is too soon to tell, Hip joint was Bone on Bone, yuk, so much pain.

Welcome @bcrisp37.
Researchers at Mayo Clinic study regenerative medicine techniques for restoring tissue and organ function. You can find the list of active clinical trials here:

The following link has detailed information about musculoskeletal regeneration research at Mayo Clinic:

@bcrisp37, may I ask what brings you to Mayo Clinic Connect?

Thank you for the links...I am here because I had some rather severe hip pain and x-rays revealed light to moderate arthritis in both hips. At the same time I saw a newspaper ad for stem cell therapy to treat joint pain. I have been trying to research this approach but have found only massive contradicting reports. Seems numerous clinics are out to charge outrageous prices for a simple injection/infusion. Looks like nothing definitive has been done in this area. Clinical trials appears to be the best option for now. My pain has vanished since probably it was due to bursitis but I know it can recur so I am still investigating....
