It’s very rare. Even the doctors at the medical school here had only read about it but had never seen one. The prognosis was very grim, but I am still here eight years later. I can totally take care of myself and I drive a big SUV with my hands. The only thing that I can’t do is sweep the floor or vacuum.😁 If I break a glass, I can’t pick up the pieces. Oh, I can cook just about everything, but I can’t bring the food to the table and I can’t take the dirty dishes into the kitchen. Awww...

@darlingtondoll You are doing very well. I am spending more and more time on my wheels. I wonder if you could "sweep" you floors using a Swifer because it is lighter weight and maneuvers so easily. I doubt you can pick up the sweepings, but you might be able to push it into a corner. I am thinking more and more about transporting trays and I think I might have a plexiglass tray made that will clip onto my chair. My son had one when he was little and it worked well. As far as I know there is nothing like this on the market, but maybe I just have not looked in the right places. But then, it might be best for your "helper" to be your carrier. haha
