Everyone, I think this is the best place to celebrate my YAY! Happy Salsa Dance Day! I am still in hospital following a large upset for me (details in Just want to Talk) primarily treating bladder infection/autonomic neuropathy/high creatinine/low immunosuppression levels with high doses of IV steroids, IV antibiotics and secondary medication changes. Today my labs report eGFR of 37!!! That is the best it has been since before my pancreas transplant in January 2011. My creatinine is 1.42!!! Again the least it has been since 2 years following the pancreas transplant. My labs are all in normal ranges and the lowest of my high trends except for the Tacrolimus, which is still 12.4 when it should be no more than 8. I am confident that will come into line quickly now that the infection is under better control. Weaning off all IV meds has begun so discharge is in view.

And no . . . This is not an April Fool's joke. It's all real and good!

Yay! WTG! Yippee! I'm so glad to know you're doing much better. Sorry to hear you had to go to the hospital but it sounds like just the right place at the right time. Hope you continue to improve more and more.

@2011panc You must be totally jubilant! That's really exciting to have such good numbers after having disappointing ones for so long. I can almost feel your relief from here in NH! I hope this continues and you are home and healthy in a jif.

I am happy to report that I am at home, very fatigued, with medication changes and several additional diagnoses. I am in the process of journaling to get a personal handle on my overall health. I often think that my life experiences are too bizarre to be believed. I am doing well and resting like crazy! Having a good day, hoping you are too!
