P.S. My son was also on Seroquel for quite some time, but he played with it and kept cutting his tablets in half and not being consistent. I don't blame the Seroquel, but his actions contributed to his further downfall.

I was put on Seroquel because at the time I was getting on paxil and the side effects were scary, wound up in an emergency room and eventually a psych ward. It was prescribed for sleep, 50mg, and I kept increasing the dose. Eventually the side effects became too much.
It was my choice to come off of it, the doctor I'm seeing now expressed some concerns but didn't offer to switch. Things are slowly getting better and I'm in a safe place.
