Mysterious shortness of breath: What has helped you?

@jduffy- I would be concerned too if my CT scan showed minimal areas of dependent atelectasis on both lower lobes. Atelectasis is a complete or partial collapse of the entire lung or area (lobe) of the lung. It occurs when the tiny air sacs (alveoli) within the lung become deflated or possibly filled with alveolar fluid. Atelectasis is one of the most common breathing (respiratory) complications after surgery." Mayo Clinic 2018. What recommendations did the radiologist make concerning this?

Merry - thanks for writing this. I just looked at the radiology reports on my chest x-rays, and the radiologist mentions atelectasis in the bottom part of both lungs. I didn't know enough to pick this up when I first read the reports. I'll follow up on it but wonder if there is anything can be done about it. Thanks again. Nancy
