@greff

I am consulting with Gastrointerology this Friday about the same issue. I have severe asthma, a repaired hiatal hernia, and take all sorts of lung meds. Nothing works. It has been suggested that my diaphragm is not working or maybe my Barretts is causing the breathing issue. I am also going to ask if they can check to see if there is stenosis of the trachea since I have had many surgeries and procedures done. I wonder if my throat has a stricter as a result. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Try using flagyl every 6hrs for five days and see the outcome.
I think this problem is linked to bacteria or parasites from the lower respiratory tracts to the stomach and intestines. Detoxifying my body with flagyl did the magic.

Hope you find answers @greff. Fingers crossed.

@greff- Best of luck on Friday! I'll be thinking about you! Scar tissue is a huge problem. I've had a lot of operations and illnesses and sometimes I think that scar tissue is the only thing that is holding me together. I have scars from when I was 7 years old when I had my appendix out.

@greff I have always felt it is my diaphragm. The only problem all the doctors I have seen in the past 30 years always try to test for asthma disorders. Because it is intermittent I have had difficulty getting in to a doctor when I am having episodes. I have no GI symptoms. I can eat the hottest, spiciest food around with no reflux. I lay on my right side normally. It is exhausting to go through it day after day, but after 30 years I have learned to live with it. I take shallower breaths and when I need a deeper breath I yawn. I have had multiple chest xrays. I've had chest MRI's. I am a breast cancer survivor of 15 years. This was on going before my cancer so it's not from having chemo or radiation. I just don't get it why someone out there hasn't had a diagnosis to relate to this problem.
