Hello, I am new to this group. I have had similar complications for 30 years now. My best description of my problems are typical of dyspnea. Air Hunger. I can't get a satisfying breath unless I yawn. I yawn so my I actually am whipped out by the end of the day. I have been to Pulmonologists (multiple) & Allergists. I have had multiple pulmonary function test run along with ABG's, Stress tests, allergy tests, & x-rays. I feel like a hypochondriac when I go to the doctor because everything they run comes back negative. I can't say when it will happen. Sometimes I can have it for months then it goes away. I don't have any problems with it when I sleep. I am 5'4" and weigh 125 lbs. I eat healthy and pretty active. I don't have acid reflux. How I feel is like my diaphragm is pushing up in to my lungs and not relaxing when I inhale. It seems when I finally have had enough to where I want to try the doctor again and make an appointment that it disappears on the day of my appointment. I know it's obviously not a life or death situation or I would be dead by know. I just struggle and would like relief after 30 years. During my 30 year struggle I have had inhalers and they don't do anything. I do take thyroid meds. I know there has to be an answer with as many people I read struggle like me. I am at the point that I will not rack up enormous doctor or test bills to have no diagnosis. It doesn't change with exertion either.
