Mysterious shortness of breath: What has helped you?

Thanks for the update! Did she prescribe a steroid like flonase or anything to help with the inflammation? I am asking because the same time my doctor prescribed protonix, she also prescribed a steroid nasal spray called Flonase. I didn't think much of letting everyone know because we were focused more on silent reflux. Who knows maybe it was a combination of the 2. I did stop that along with the protonix so I may start that back to see if I notice a difference. I think you can get Flonase OTC now.

I have actually been on OTC Flonase for about 2 months now, and it’s done wonders for my nose but nothing for my shortness of breath. It could be having a small affect but nothing significant. If it is eosinophilic esophagitis, then the first line of treatment is a moderate dose of proton pump inhibitors (omeprazole), the second line of treatment is a high dose of PPI’s, the third is swallowed steroids to coat the esophagus, and the fourth and final is endoscopic dilation.
