Hi, @rbridge2_ and @magerter ,
I wanted to add my welcome to @hopeful33250's, @rbridge2_, and I also wanted to welcome @magerter. I applaud the fact that both of you are advocating for your mothers who have been prescribed Haldol (Haloperidol). You know them best, and as @magerter mentioned, willingness to discuss concerns about your family member with their health care providers is important.

I'd also like to invite into this discussion Connect members who have mentioned Haldol (Haloperidol) to offer their insights on this medication: @jean63 @kateia @conniesue2017 @user_che69bc66 @troubleshooter @mindy62 @angiem @nikki655 @calmcoolandcrazy @randalcoon.

@rbridge2_ -- how has your mother been doing over the past couple days since you posted?

@magerter -- you mentioned your mother is now being taken off the Haldol (Haloperidol). Is she being put on another medication instead?

I'm sorry I haven`t responded to your comments sooner. My mother was not given any other medication after Haldol. My mother passed away 6 months after her last hospitalization at age 96.

Hello @magerter

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your mom. Please accept my condolences. If you would like additional support as you experience grief and loss, please take a look at our conversation at, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/loss-and-grief-how-are-you-doing/.

We have many members who have lost parents and they would be glad to offer you support and encouragement.

Could you share with us one memory of your mom?
