How did you wean off Metoprolol?

Keep in touch with your doctor. My wife worked for a cardiologist, patients would see stories in the news, or online, and questions would pour in, something they've been taking for years suddenly concerns them. But he said that if they'd introduce aspirin to the market now, many wouldn't take it because of the possible side effects. I'm not seeing Metoprolol as a big concern, from my vantage, I've been on several other beta blockers with no side effects.

I take 200 mg in the morning, and 100 mg at night, of Metoprolol Succinate, the extended release version of it. There's Metoprolol Tartrate which is a short acting version some people take a few times a day. If you're having no problems, don't worry. It's unlikely that I'll be without Beta Blockers of one form or another, I've taken them well over 25 years. Hope this helps.
