I love my SoClean 2 also. I normally start it when I get up and leave the bedroom then after a few hours when it's done I go back and open the lid and leave the bedroom again. This was any remaining odor dissipates and I don't smell anything. I also purchased a less expensive portable CPAP cleaner that I can take with me if we have to travel somewhere. It is a Respify and comes with a large bag that can be sealed with the cleaning unit inside the bag. Works really well and only $99. It's a small rechargeable device that comes with a charging cable and power adapter. You can get 4 or 5 cleanings with it before having to plug it in and charge it. https://respify.com/
