To be quite honest I've always thought I had a good sense of smell and I really don't notice a bad odor from my SoClean 2 machine. I've had friends who used an ozone generator for sanitizing their hot tubs and I definitely noticed the smell near their hot tub after it was cleaned.

John, thank you for the quick reply, so the so clean is an ozone generator.. thanks again. I have learned much just reading the posts here.

Hello John, I just bought my husband a SoClean2 machine for Christmas, but it puts off a strange smell, he said it's the Ozone that the machine uses. Which he says really smells when using his CPAP. I've been told this is not safe, any suggestions? Thanks.
