Medical Marijuana has been my choice for pain management along with meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. It takes some time to find the right mix of distribution options and to find a regimen that keeps your pain under control. When you have it all figured out....it seems that this rapidly growing and compassionate industry is ready to introduce new products and you once again revise your regimen. Major benefit....it works for small fiber neuropathy and peripheral neuropathy, at least the versions I have.
Hello Chris. It's nice to hear you are having success with medical marijuana for your small fiber neuropathy. I have this condition in both feet in the areas of numerous past surgeries and now complicated by effects of diabetes. I have tried many different medications and treatments for the constant burning pain, but the only thing that works for me are opiods. Naturally, I am looking for an alternative and fortunately medical marijuana is now legal in PA; although, the supply is limited at this point. Tinctures, vap pens, and pills are all legal, but the "whole leaf" product is not.
I am hoping you could share some specifics of what type products you have found success with and whether they are mainly THC, or CBD, or a hybrid of both. What side effects have you found? How long do you get relief for after you use the product?
Thanks for any information you can share,
Steve
It too have tried all that you have tried multiple times. My spine is in such bad shape from top to bottom. I have had lumbar surgery 2x and kypoplastic in the thoracic area. I also have 3 compression fractures in the thoracic area and two in the lower along with degeneration and more, you name it, I've got it. I have been told I wouldn't find a surgeon who would operate. I don't like the affect that pain meds have on me. But the CBD is not legal in my state! I would be wiling to try almost anything.
Have you ever looked into stem cell therapy?
Has anyone on this site ever heard of or used Artic Blast? I sure hope I get a response, it seems I never do.
Hello @jjwest -- I haven't used Artic Blast but I have used similar products like Biofreeze and Salonpas Gel. It helped with a muscle cramp/pain but it was temporary for me. Hopefully some others that have used it will share their experience. Here is what Drugs.com says about Artic Blast pain drops:

NIH also has some information on the product:

John...finally. No Marijuana but we have a beautiful shop here selling Hemp items. I had some shot in my neck and I was so sore. Bought some of their lotion. My pain LEFT. Yesterday I bought some oil abstract 1000 mg and I take one stopper a day. The company is Still in San Antonio. Cost could be difficult for some but should last quite awhile. Lotion was 70.00 and oil 1000 mg is 100.00. but you can buy lower dose. It Works
@oregongirl glad your getting some relieve but can't afford that
My heart pill just went up to 200.00. I am in donut holes already. I want to taking it
Hello Lisa,
I have been dealing with either cervical or lumbar pain for over 10 years. Now, I am dealing with them both, together.
I've tried the following therapies:
Cervical.....facet injections, radio ablation, epidural, aquatic and land PT. I've been through these multiple times. The epidurals helped years ago, but not now. I just had C5/6 disk replacement and so far, I'd say I have about 80% relief.
Lumbar....facet injections, radio ablation, epidurals, aquatic and land PT (together and separately), acupuncture and cupping, spinal stimulator (trial only).
I've also gone for therapeutic massages and chiropractor, creams and rubs with lidocaine, opioids. None of these help, not even the drugs. Drugs just take the edge off a bit.
My pain doc does not want me to go to the chiropractor because my spine is so messed up he is afraid they might do more damage. I stopped going for the massage because of the pain, I couldn't stand to have anyone touch me.
When I go for my 6 week post - op checkup, I will discuss some other alternative with the neurosurgeon.
