@giovi

I recently learned about a prescription - Fosteum Plus. " Fosteum PLUS consists of a specially formulated proprietary blend of dicalcium malate and pentacalcium hydroxide triphosphate, sodium phosphate, high purity genistein aglycone from a natural, non-soy source, citrated zinc bisglycinate, trans-menaquinone-7 (vitamin K2), and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).: Has anyone used this?

Hi Giovi, @giovi. Nice to see your name in the Posted by field. I looked up this Fosteum PLUS. It appears to be that this medication is classified as food. The claims are that it will perform both functions of building bone and restoring it. The main active ingredient.....genistein is acknowledged for its purity by the NIH and they conclude the following:

"Conclusions and implications:"
The results strongly suggest that the genistein aglycone might be a new therapy for the management of postmenopausal osteoporosis in humans.

Apparently, more studies will be required before the final review. How did you hear about this.....just wondering how the word spreads in this age of instant knowledge. Would you be interested in a clinical trial? Here's the link.

Thanks for introducing so many to an interesting new treatment with some potential. We at Connect appreciate the sharing. How is your dexaScan score holding up? Have you had any problems getting medications because of COVID-19?

Is your heartburn under control? I have noticed that some osteoporosis medications do mention heartburn as a side effect. That would be awfully scary.

May you have happiness and the causes of happiness.
