Hi @pamelacelia,
I'm sorry to hear about your son, and as a mother, I can imagine how worried you must be! I'm tagging @alfalfa and @macjane, who recently posted about her children developing food poisoning, and I hope they will join in with some more insight.
You may wish to view this past discussion, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/food-poisoning/ and post your concerns there; it could perhaps reactivate the conversation where @kdaniel talks about her son's experience with food poisoning.
@pamelacelia, you mentioned, "I'm getting really worried, he's sleeping for long hours during the day, another thing he doesn't usually do, he's lost weight..." The most common complication of food poisoning is dehydration, and the illness and dehydration can weaken and tire you. If you haven't already, I would sincerely urge you to ask the doctor about dehydration, as the risk of complications from it can be serious.
May I ask if you were able to find out the source of the food poisoning?
Hello, well I bought some fast food the night before and he ate and woke up the next morning complaining of stomach pains then he started vomiting, I did go to the doctor and got some advice, he's much better now, his appetite is still not where it used to be but at least he's eating again, only home cooked meals from now on, he went back to school this morning. Thank you
