Stem cell therapy for hip

@blundquist

Thank you Coleen for the information. I have two painful hips and do not want hip replacements. I've looked into Stem Cell therapy and found that Mayo can do it, but it's not cheap and health insurance doesn't pay for it. At least that's what I've been told. Right now I have five weekly appointments starting March 20 for Viscosupplementation injections of Supartz. This will provide a cushion and prolong hip replacement surgery. Hopefully before then health insurance will begin to pay for stem cell therapy. I'm having it done at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ.

I'll be anxious for you to share your experience, including prep and recovery, @blundquist.

How did the Viscosupplementation injections of Supartz go?

Can you ball park the cost? I am going for a consult on this at Mayo too

use the word transplant see if insurance will cover that.
