@glinda I am so, so pleased for you! Teresa
Hi, Rosemary, just wanted to touch base with you all here on Mayo connect it was a long time coming for me but I finally left the nursing home and rehabilitation center this week Monday June 11th was a good day but also a sad day as it was the 3rd anniversary of my mom's death but my Aunt Mary my mom's only living sister told me to look at her anniversary like this and that's that my mom picked that day for me to go home as she is proud and looking down from heaven and is my guardian angel protecting me and she wanted me home on her anniversary so I'm looking at it that way it's hard to be home as walking is very tiring especially with a four wheel walker but I'm working on my walking every day I go for the fittings for my knee braces and for my right ankle today and I go back to to Chester on the 3rd of July for my pre-op check for my stomach or my ostoyme and illeostoyme repair am hoping they will do the surgery on the 5th or the 6th of July but will keep you and everyone else up to date on my progress and my surgery oh forgot to tell you am doing great but will start back with out patient physical therapy on the 25th of this month will let you know how that goes also never realized how hard walking is until I had to re-learn how to walk and standing is just as hard hope you have a good day today thanks as always for listening

@glinda, Again, I celebrate with all of the other members in this discussion! Your journey has been an inspiration.
Your Aunt Mary's message to you is absolutely beautiful. I am happy for the comfort and the love that it has relayed to you. Please give her a hug from me. I, also have realized some special blessings on personal anniversaries. That might be an interesting discussion sometime.
I know that you will be extra busy, and will be taking care of yourself by getting the rest that your body will require with the
'new' physical activity. I will be thinking of you as I will be 'struggling' in my own reality of doing some hiking soon;-)
Hugs,
Rosemary
Hi Rosemary, I am doing good and am done with physical and occupational therapy this coming Wednesday and probably will be going home from the care center on Thursday tomorrow I go back to Rochester to have the IVC blodclot filter removed and to be desensitized to the bactrim again so I can start back on it again it's just a one day thing, I have to wait 2 to3 more weeks to get the surgery on my stomach done to repair my intestines as the surgeons say I'm not strong enough yet to have it done and when they do it they plan to remove my gallbladder as well so was a little disappointed in that no surgery yet but I can understand why will keep you posted on how I am doing. But I am waliking and standing so I am good
