I was a donor at Mayo (Rochester) last month. I don't know much about the recipient's side except that it was successful and she's doing very well. She was in the hospital for 3 nights and stayed in Rochester for appointments for 2 weeks afterwards.
I received amazing care at every step of the process from the lab techs to the surgeon.

@mauraacro, As a recipient, I want you to know that I welcome the information that you share as a donor! I am amazed at how we, recipient and donor, are so much alike in our feelings and the inspiration and awe of the miracle of life that we have been blessed to experience.
