I was just diagnosed with "possible" pericarditis after a cardiologist saw my stress test ultrasound. I have been having issues breathing, taking a deep breath, getting sharp chest pain and back pain, but on my center right side and through to my back, not left side. I get a very heavy, draggy, tight, pressure feeling in chest. Everything varies in intensity...like this morning not so bad, and now awful. Bra even feels weird, tight, and constrictive. Sleeping sucks. All of this happened after I was running and I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else after over exertion. Also, has anyone used ice for the pain? My doctor told me it was anxiety for 3 weeks--I missed a month of treatment because he wouldn't listen. This is horrible. I've never had so much pain and discomfort in my life. I'm worried that my doctor dragged his feet for too long. We shouldn't have to beg for them to do right by us.

@helena4000 I'm so sorry you are feeling so much pain. Have your doctors rules out costochondritis? It's inflammation in the cartilage between your ribs and can feel horrible.

@helena4000 I'm so sorry your in so much pain of it is pericarditis it hurts to breath Ice helps with inflammation Tumeric also for inflammation they use to wrap your chest for helping you n the breathing If your concerned about the Dr get another opinion .Get your test results and go to another cardiologist
