it's fine to leave but start trying things that may help you calm down w/o having to leave-deep breathing, visualization, counting to 10 w/ controlled breathing, just focus on one thing in the room with tunnel vision, lean in and get closer to conversation

What works for one may not work for another. This does not mean "another" has failed.

I agree one hundred percent everyone has to keep on trying for a formula which works for them.I for one keep on praying for myself as well all others facing this delimma

All good suggestions but leaving the environment is usually my last resort, after all of the aforementioned have failed.
