I cannot say this could not be a side effect for you, but I have been on Plaquenil for RA for more than 10 years and have had no similar problem.

Welcome to Connect, @mymam, and thanks so much for your response. May I ask what brings you to Mayo Clinic Connect? We look forward to getting to know you.

A friend who lives many, many miles from me went to Mayo Clinic for surgery and sent me to a Mayo Clinic website for an explanation of her surgery. While at the site, I found links to other areas of healthcare and that\'s how I found MCC. Besides having RA, I am a type II diabetic and was diagnosed with Osteoporosis in July, 2017. Treatment with Prolia began in August. The second injection will be given next week. So far, so good.
