What could this be ?

I'd like to introduce you to some other Connect members who have mentioned hysterectomy or symptoms like what you've described in hopes they might have some thoughts on the sharp pains where you once had ovaries and what that might be: @lezlie21, @virtuous69, @caligodgirl, @retiredteacher, @pizon, @upartist and @letsgo. @gailb may also have some insights.

Can you describe the pains you're having any further (e.g., how often they occur, what time of day, if anything in particular precedes these pains)?

Scar tissue. Do u have your uterus still?

Hi @countrygirl2, I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing stabbing pain as I am very familiar with this type of pain. After my full hysterectomy which unfortunately was done in 4 different surgeries, the stabbing pain I experienced was from abdominal adhesions adhering my bladder, colon, etc... to the abdominal wall. I have had two exploratory surgeries since because the pain was unbearable. Adhesions are In my experience, difficult to diagnose and currently no imaging (MRI, CT) can detect them unless there’s a blockage in the bowel that can be seen.
If this is possibly what’s happening with your body, please be your best advocate because NOBODY knows your body better than you do.

I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. I know that you may wish you hadn’t started any of it. But the other responder is corrrct that sometimes there is scar tissue. Google your options n the sooner the better. We all heal differently

@countrygirl2 Hi Virtuous 69 here. I believe my strange pains I have where my ovaries were are scar tissue build up, I believe called fibrin. I scar tissue easily. My PC doc agrees but not much you can do, except go in surgically and have excess tissue removed, which could possibly exasperate situation any time flesh is cut, possibly creating more scar tissue. Since I have developed quite a muffin top, and also that is the region where my intestines turn a corner, I believe it causes extra problems for my fecal matter to navigate all the twists and turns of my intestines. If your pain is significant you might want to talk to your obgyn and see if cat scan or something will show extra scar tissue build up. My boss had this done after her ovaries were removed. I'm just able to go through any more surgeries now. Good luck and please share your doctors thoughts if you feel comfortable doing so. Hugs.

@caligodgirl My gosh, you are so describing my situation exactly. You mentioned CT doesn't show anything and I do believe that exploratory surgery is probably best option. At least for
@countrygirl2 as she is in so much more (knife stabbing) pain , than I am, that something needs to be done. May God show her favor and give her the right option. Now thinking about it the ovary area pain was a lot worse years ago, and am not bothered by it much.

Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone has had pop repair w/o mesh and has the feeling of still having a ball in the vag.? I had to have hernia surgery after my pop repair c/t shows all is good but I feel worse then I did prior to the surgery the only good thing is now I do not feel like my insides will fall out and I am not get uti's like I was prior to the repair thanks' in advance I am 11 months out
