Right side daily headache and no diagnose

Hi mima, I’m one of the people Colleen tagged. I do have chronic headaches every day. I have had them for years though. Mine has been diagnosed as coming from the vertebrae in my neck, C4-5, C5-6 now. When I was younger and now I know I have migraines.

A few things I’ve learned along the way, if you use over-the-counter pain medicine like Excedrin, Fioricet (prescription), and other meds, you will develop rebound headaches. It ends up a vicious cycle with the headaches get worse and the only way to get out of it is stop taking the medicines daily. The Botox works for tension headaches and migraines. I know I do have migraines because migraine medications work for me. Mine does tend to go from the right back of my neck through the top of my head and out my right eye. But it’s a migraine.

Sorry I don’t have better answers for you specially.

Oh, I have been getting botox since it was still experimental and it helps a lot, but I have multiple types of problems that cause headaches, including bone spurs down my entire cervical spine.

Thank you Jenna. I have tried so many migrane medications and none have worked for me. No luck with botox either. I’m hoping the doc will find the right medication that works but not until they find my exact diagnosis.

I’m glad botox is working for you. I had no luck witj the first two rounds. I also get very stiff shoulders and neck which I believe it might come from there but my neuro doest think so.

@jenapower I’m glad migrane medications are working for you. The doc has given me so many migrane pills, nasal sprays, and yet haven’t found anything heat helps. I don’t have nausea or sensitivity to light or noise. I feel like mine is not a migrane.
