@faith123 I signed on to a pain clinic a couple years ago at the prescription of my doctor. Lots of pain everywhere. The Pain doc only wanted to refer me to a cannabis market he owned and operated. I never went back..
Lol i live in N C , no cannibus here.
Hello @faith123,
May Clinic has a pain rehabilitation center that I am sure is like the one your ortho recommended to you. You can read more about it here, https://www.mayoclinic.org/departments-centers/pain-rehabilitation-center.
I think you may also be interested in the following two discussions where Connect members discuss partaking in pain clinics and pain rehab centers:

I'm just interjecting re. "no cannibus here" comment. CBD Tincture, for example, is available y mail. I obtained this via mail, but have yet to try it so I'm not making a recommendation based upon actual usage. I take Hydrocodone and I doubt my doctor would continue my prescription should I mix the 2 chemicals.

Faith,
I have gone to 2 pain clinics for my back pain. The first (now closed) prescribed a variety of neuro meds like Lyrica, Gabapentin etc but I reacted badly to all I tried. The doctor then did injections to kill a nerve in my back. This gave me years of relief. I went to the 2nd last year. He tried epidurals which lasted only a matter of days. Then sent me to an orthopaedic surgeon who said surgery not the answer. As I reported elsewhere, I got relief from a chiropractor doing spinal decompression and laser treatments. This helped with spinal stenosis, arthritis and sciatica. Unfortunately, I had a bad fall during treatment which caused a flare up of pain from an old untreated fracture at the base of my spine which I am now doing physical therapy and yoga for. I still need to take Vicodin for any heavy work.
What I have looked for and not found is a clinic similar to one my cousin in Ireland found helpful. They stressed alternative treatments such as biofeedback. Leslie324
Dear Faith and Leslie, have you googled for sites in your city/area that offer "Intigrative regenerative"alternative medicine services? And possibly Osteopathic manipulation therapy? Jeanne
Jeanne,
Good idea. No, I didn't think of either idea. Thank you. Leslie
