Hi, @mickie75 – thinking of you and wondering how it's going with the zolpidem (Ambien)?

@maryshipley — how are things going with the lower doses of zolpidem (Ambien) and increasing the trazadone?

I am at half dose of ambien. Still waking a couple of times however. Working on meditation and have STOPPED worrying about going to sleep. Thanks for checking. Not an easy process.

Hi Mary, I’m off Ambien now but still not sleeping very well. Take an anti anxiety pill (klonapin) to help me sleep and I smoke. I’ve tried every holistic way, over the counter meds, and supplements, ie. Melatonin. Nothing really helps. I even took the TV out of my room. I take an Ambien once every 4/5 weeks to get a deep sleep. I wouldn’t have given it up the Ambien, but if I took it for more than a couple of days I was getting pains in my stomach and nausea. I even put up with the digestive issues so I could sleep. That’s how desperate I was. I finally knew I had to stop when I woke up with a pot of food and potato chips on my bed and had no recollection of the night and what I did. Ambien was the best and if I didn’t have the side effects I would have continued. The quality of my life is poor when I don’t sleep. So will continue to smoke and take the Klonapin.
