Tramadol Helps with Exhaustion
Besides the constant pain, the exhaustion of trying to carry around 2 dead, numb legs (I call logs) exhausts me until I can do nothing. My neurologist prescribed a minimal dose of Tramadol for pain, but it is wonderfully effective at giving me some ENERGY so I can just do simple basic tasks. Anyone else either have this extreme fatigue or a Tramadol experience?

@barbarn -- the tea is in tea bags which are individually sealed in clear plastic bags (assuming for freshness). It is a Trader Joe's brand. Thank you @lioness for the tip! It really is pretty good and not too overpowering with the turmeric...great pre-bedtime drink.
@barbarn no only Trader Joe's sells it and its teabag ,sorry tis so far. ,can anyone bring you some? Pickle juice is dill ,not sweet I can send you a box if you want in private message.
@johnbishop - thanks for the picture - I'll forward that to my daughter in the Denver area, she comes this direction frequently and could pick up the tea at Trader Joe's. In the meantime I will check out the supermarkets locally to see if they have something like it. Drinking something warm at bedtime sounds great now that the weather has turned chilly!!!!!
@lioness - thanks for the information and the offer!! I'm sure my daughter can go to Trader Joes and bring it over when she comes. Have plenty dill pickle juice - somehow that seems like MEDICINE!!!! But the tea sounds wonderful to drink at bedtime - warm but won't keep you awake?
I have been on tramadol for over 20 years. From 8 after auto accident to 1 or 2. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis and it is so helpful. If I don't take by noon, I am exhausted. Makjes such a difference and just enough serotonin to help. I was on 8 when in graduate school. Heloed me be more focused and energy fir night classes.
@dlbo Tramadol I m so glad I have it .Been on it for 14 yr after I fractured my back but its my fibromyalgia that its not helping when I have a flare. Nothing helps then that I,ve found
@dlbo
I was taking Tramadol for 2 years after my back surgery--4 a day. I stopped taking them in December of 2017. I have used CBD and marijuana since then, but recently I used 1/2 a 50 mg Tramadol that I had saved 5 of in case I needed it for deeper pain. It helped me so much that I'm going to ask my doctor for a prescription again. I think 1 daily will relieve my arthritis pain and keep me going. I'll talk with him next week. Thanks for your post.
I take 1/2 of a Tramadol almost daily for pain in between doses of anti-seizure meds for axonal sensory neuropathy. I can take it during the day, work, drive, it dulls the pain with no side affects. People who say they reacted badly to it therefore no one should take it - scare me. When the government hears from people like that, politicians rush to ban the medicine without even asking if works for other people. Please be careful, don't hurt the rest of us - it's hard enough for us to get the meds that work. And we'll do the same for you. Thanks! Peggy
PS: I asked my psychiatrist if Tramadol elevates moods because I thought I saw some correlation between taking it and feeling in a better mood. He said: "Tramadol is a pain killer - pain is depressing." Hmmm, like when we take anti-seizure meds and our neuropathy pain goes away - anti-seizure meds aren't pain killers but they calm the nervous system that is causing the pain. Does that make sense? Peggy
I fell going down my stairs. My chiropractor said I fractured my coccyx. I'm not sure I see a fracture. What do you think?
