@marlaxyz Nice to meet you, and thank you @hopeful33250 for tagging me. I am a little late in this conversation, I apologize. I would love to hear more about what you are experiencing with your pain, is it primarily after you eat or can it happen anytime? Please feel free to message me here or come over to the MALS page that @kanaazpereira posted below, maybe we can offer some insight from our experiences. I look forward to hearing from you.
thanks so much. i will follow up
My mother has shoulder pain while eating
I have never had abdominal or stomach surgery however I have always had a hiatal hernia. I have not spoken to my physician as unless I have it I do not remember. It only happens at a supper meal when I have a full large meal. I have this for about 10 years. If the pain was to be rated I would say an 8 out of 10. The pain is just there not increasing or decreasing with movement. It slowly dissipates over approximately 1 hour.
first of all I’m so glad they have a site like this I have been to numerous doctors and they all say the same thing they say all my test come back normal, but every time I eat about 15 to 30 minutes later I have pain radiating through the shoulders lower back neck and ears usually radiating on the left side and under the left rib cage.I noticed the pain mostly at night after dinner time or in a sitting position the first time it happened to me I really thought I was having a heart attack .I went to the emergency room and they said my heart was fine but my blood pressure was super high. it was due to the panic of thinking I had a heart attack
Hi Teresa, i know this was a while ago but you sound like you may know what is wrong with me. I have been seeing a consultant for 3 years now and no further forward. If you are still offering help, I would love to speak with you
For me, I had same symptoms and it was my body telling me there was something going on , unfortunately it wasnt till after my heart attack that I put 2 and 2 together with a blocked artery in my heart and a stint put in. My advice since this has been going on for a while is to have a doctor check it out. After you eat is when your blood gets infiltrated with sugar and other possibly bad things like cholesterol best of luck, better to check it out while your healthy than to wait dave
Thank you, Teresa; I was remiss in mentioning the MALS group. Here's the link to an active, incredibly informative discussion about discussion, "Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS)" https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/median-arcuate-ligament-syndrome-mals/
