You sound exactly like what I am going through!!! Have been to our little hospital's ER 3 times in the last year...and all they do is change meds and tell me it is stress!!! Every time the new meds make me worse. About 6 months ago I was given Monurol for a recurring UTI. Within 2 days, I could barely get any food down w/o terrible stomach pain after. During the last 6 months, I have lost approx. 50 pounds. I can't even drink ensure with out getting stomach pain. Have not been able to get my doctor to see me more than once a month. I also have had Cauda Equina Syndrome for 15 years and am not able to be very active because of the numbness in my legs and derrière. Between the two, I have lost a ton of muscle and am feeling like I will never be able to come back from whatever is causing this! I am 70! Has anyone out there had trouble with taking Monurol?? This is awfulness! After I eat, I feel like I can't keep the food down. However...I just throw up mucus...no food comes up!! I am desperate for help! There is anxiety, but it isn't the cause, it is because I am so sick and terribly weak and I can't find out what is wrong. From a rural area and no s lectionaries of Drs. Am sick to death of the "stress diagnosis!!" Do not want to get addicted to stress meds. Help!!
Sorry to hear that. I haven’t posted in a while and I didn’t have the same breathing issues as you but i had chest pain etc for almost 7 months undiagnosed. They threw anxiety and stress at me every time along with musculoskeletal. I ended up pushing them harder and they ordered a CT scan to see my arteries and heart more closely. They found I was 90% blocked in my main coronary artery. I was shocked and so were they. Immediately admitted and had a stent put in. It’s been 2 months since then. Be persistent and stick up for your self if the pains aren’t going away. Best of luck.
