The use of herbs and spices to relieve or eliminate pain or indigestion etc is from Ayurvedic medicine. I've used a three way combo to relieve arthritic pain in various joints. It's turmeric ginger and cayenne. I discussed it with an Internist, orthopedist And a pain management specialist. The three herbs in combination are regarded as an accelerated booster rather than each seperately. I suggest researching Ayurvedic practice before experimenting. Western medicine uses many powerful chemicals that might not be safe to mix with it. Get in touch with your Dr and ask if they are familiar with the ancient method of healing. You can bring the information to the Dr if they aren't aware of it. The only caution I'm familiar with is that turmeric is an oxalate and can cause kidney stones if used by someone who is sensitive to oxalates and if used in too high an amount. I know a man who heard it was power herb so he capped it and took up to six a day for Ed. He ended up with two kidney stones. There may be an herb for ED but that's not in my pervue. I always say be safe not sorry. Research from a credible source. Not from third hand information. FDA.gov Drugs.gov.
