SBRT to lymph node

Posted by lindabees @lindabees, 1 day ago

As some of you know, my husbamd was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer 18 years ago. It has been 18 years of playing whack a mole and it looks like the county fair is back in town 😌. He has a lymph node located near the aortic valve that has been increasing over the past year and it's time to address it. He'll be consulting with the radiation oncology dept. at Mayo Phoenix to discuss SBRT targeted radiation. This same node was previously and successfully treated with SBRT 10 years ago so we are hopeful it will be equally effective this time.
I'll keep you posted as we go down this path.

@tomrennie Thank you. I will. God's gotten us this far so He'll get us through this small bump in the road, too.

My very best wishes and strongest encouragement go out to you and your husband. One has to produce a good deal of courage and will to contend with this surprisingly resilient and very testing disease. Keep your faith strong and it will keep you strong. Please keep us advised of progress as you can.
