I had PRP for my hip but the injection went into my groin area.
Has anyone else found that after 1 1/2 years the PRP doesn’t last?

1 Reaction@tova do you have to administer those injections yourself, or do you get a nurse to do it?
The doctor does the injections

1 Reaction@tova Can you explain the title you chose for this discussion? It implies something was done incorrectly.
If you are asking if PRP therapy is permanent or time-limited, and you got 1 1/2 years of relief, you are ahead of the average - according to my ortho, if PRP works for you (not a guarantee) the results typically last up to one year.

I just had hip pain in my left hip. I am 63 years old. I saw an orthopedic surgeon and he did nothing about it. But I am receiving nerve block treatments at my pain clinic and my doctor there suggested it. He said it would take the pain away in my hip versus hip replacement, but PRP only lasts about 1-2 years and then you need to repeat the procedure. It cost me $1500. Now because of inflation and economic times the procedure is now $2000. I highly recommend it, I found that I received tremendous relief in my hip. The pain subsided
