Being a diabetic since young child his immune system is already compromised, now with the Lyme disease diagnosis in 6 months he is a wreck, we live in Oregon and there are very few Drs who know about or will treat Lyme disease. It seems it has attacked him neurologicly nothing they have tried on him has worked. We are going to take him to Mayo Clinic hoping for some answers.

My husband just happened to have a heart attack while we were visiting a friend in Rochester, Minnesota on New Years Eve,1999. I took him to St Mary's Hospital affiliated with Mayo there. His care was outstanding and he had 2 stents inserted in his arteries. He's never had a problem since then. The Mayo called him once a year for 15 years to find out how he was doing!

When I had a large area of basal cell skin cancer on the area between my upper lip and nose on the right side, I decided to go to Mayo for the surgery and skin grafting. That was in 2004. They did Mohs surgery and did an excellent job. No problems since.

I trust Mayo when I need medical care beyond simple things. They are careful and detailed and work as a team to give the besy coordinated healthcare. You can feel secure that they will find the problem and recommend care. Best of luck to you and your grandson.

Thank you that was so sweet of you to share that it's very reassuring. As grandparents it's so frustrating to not be able to help them, other than financially and emotionally and lots of prayers. Thank you and God Bless...
