What's coming?

Two weeks out from 1st chemo and pump. Radiation 5x week for 2 weeks. So far symptoms are pretty mild. Is my husband lucky or should we expect symptoms to worsen? 2 weeks left of radiation, 3 more chemo rounds. Hoping to be prepared.

My husband did not have any radiation, but his first chemo was fine, the second he tolerated not that well as the first one, number 4 was the worst, he than left out on the chemo tablets and only received the chemo injections alone for another two rounds every third week. He got over it and needed a long time to recover, but he has a massive histamine intolerance and the symptoms got more severe after some time. He needed a long time to recover since he did not take any gut bacteria, no supplements, no food, no water for a very long time. His psycho got worse and worse due to mal nutrition. My recommendation after all of this: I hope your husband is not resistent to recommendation, my experience with my husband and with other friends who had to go through chemo: he should take gut bacteria during the chemo and he should ask the doctor which supplements are good for him to take, because all our friends who had chemo and took gut bacteria came out much better and felt much better during chemo. I hope it helps. And since I am a nature freak: oats are good for the guts, overnight oats, oats in soup, don't know if he likes them, but worth a try. All the best and a big hug to both of you! Never give up and never lose hope! Thank god we have the medical possibilities nowadays! Take good care and I am sure everything will turn out fine.

Hi there...typically things have a cumalative effect. I didn't have any notable side effects from radiation, but did from chemo- despite doing 30 radiation daily. They are usually pretty good at dialing things down a bit if the symptoms are not manageable- it really all depends on what drugs you are on. Good luck!!
