Hi @lisa315 There are no shortages of questions for anyone about to undergo a stem cell transplant (SCT) I know, I was there myself 7+ years ago. Just the sheer amount of information regarding the transplant, relocation and recovery can feel overwhelming. As the caregiver there’s a lot being piled on your shoulders.
I’m the mentor for the BMT/SCT/CAR-T therapy support community and want to welcome you to Mayo Clinic Connect. We have an ever growing number of members who have undergone the stem cell transplantation process for various blood related cancers such as MDS, AML, lymphomas, etc.. Many of us have shared our experiences in the forum.
I’ve posted links below to discussions you might want to read.
Also, here is a caregiver guide from Mayo Clinic. There are several sections to this guide including information about the stem cell/bone marrow transplant itself. Your husband will be having an Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant so you can disregard the section that talked about the Autologous transplant.

So take your time and go through all the information and read the discussions. I’m here to help. Feel free to jump into any of the conversations.
Has there been a donor search for your husband?
