Blue balls or epididymal hypertension after prostatectomy.?

I couldn't find anything on this after searching this support group. so I'll just ask. Have any of you experienced pain in your testicles (blue balls) after dry orgasms post-prostatectomy? I'm 8 months from surgery and erections and orgasms are back. The orgasms have recently gotten just as powerful as before with no mess, of course. Lately, there's been a dull ache in my testicles afterwards that I feel only when their touched and it's lasted for about 3 days this time. My theory is that semen is still being produced and wants to be released at orgasms and that the testicles then make more to replace what they think (ha, ha, thinking balls) got released and this overfills my balls.
I'm hoping that abstaining for a few days will ease the pressure. Am I on the right track or is something else going on?

This can happen if during relations, the testicles are squeezed rather than lightly touched. It can cause them to ache for a couple of days if this happens.

The testicles poduce sperm. Semen is produced by the prostate gland.

Thanks Jeff,
I don't remember clearly, but that could have happened.

Sperm is what I meant to say.

I'm not a medical professional so take my laymans comment with a grain of salt. That said, post-prostecomy I also experienced similar symtoms after climax. I probably should have spoken to my care team, but I didn't because for me it was never very bad. I don't know what it really was, but like you I also had my own theory about it which matched what you articulated above. For me, it slowly lessened over time and now (at 28 months) its gone. Of course, it certainly wouldn't hurt to mention it to your care team and see what they say. Best wishes.

@retireditguy
Yeah, I'll definitely mention it. For now, I'll be hands off and stick to just the vacuum device and see if it geos away.

@quaddick Please consult with your doctor ASAP. If it was just some mild pain I would not worry but if there is color change it sounds troubling and especially if it lasted 3 days. Sometimes testicles can "twist" inside the scrotum and stop blood circulation and it is actually medical emergency. : ((
Better safe than sorry ...

@quaddick -- I agree with @surftohealth88 's comment above about consulting with your doctor ASAP since there's a color change. When I had my mild discomfort I didn't notice any color change. Best wishes.

This sounds similar to symptoms I had many years ago following a vasectomy. They snip the tubes (vas) carrying sperm from epididymis out to ejaculate. So my thinking was same as yours, sperm has nowhere to go but gotta be absorbed back by the body. The epididymis can become inflamed as a result, and sometime an infection may occur which causes more acute pain . My symptoms eased over time but it took awhile and a few trips to Doc to make sure of no infection and such. They have always stayed a bit sensitive especially the rear side where that is located. Doesnt sound like in your original post there was an actual color change?
