Prostate cancer: Working out the treatment plan

Posted by timoppermann @timoppermann, Sep 26, 2025

Psa from 110 to 228 in 2 months. Pirads 6. Gleason score 8. Prostate 63cm. Cancer tumor 98.6 mm. Also EFE PNI SVI. Severs fatigue and low back pain severe. Urologist said prostatectomy wouldn't really help. Referral to medical oncology, radiation oncology and hormone therapy. How worried should I be and how bad is it.? Getting PET next week.

It was a really long and rough 2.5 years fallowing R.A.L.P. Surgery. As of this post I’m cancer free and back swinging for the fences once again. I don’t ever see much discussion on this forum with regard to the depression that usually accompanies a prostate cancer diagnosis. I’m 100% good now but it was exhausting 2.5 years. Never heard anything about it (depression’s) in the urologist office. Any one else have an issue with that? Asking for a friend.
