@maryannnik1112 , @sandw40 ,

I am one of those that just keeps going without a whimper. Afib, according to my cardiologist and EP, was happening as palpatations but not enough to show up on holter or cause issues. Then when it did present it was persistent. Took 6 months to get it under control. My cardiologist had immediately perscribed Eliquis and I have had no issues at all. I don't even bruise much more than I did prior to Eliquis. I recently had a pacemaker placement at Mayo St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. It was done with conscious sedation, so I was awake and aware off and on. They did not have me hold my Eliquis and there was no problem with bleeding and that lessened the chance of a clot during or after procedure. Just speaking for myself, I am thankful for Eliquis as when I have breakthrough Afib, it oftens lasts 36 hours and Eliquis keeps me safe from stroke. Just wanted you to know it can be a good thing, even with the bleeding risks. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

My only point was to mention to those who mentioned concerns about using eliquis because of issues that some have had with the product.
Social media is filled with people mentioning their negative experiences with anything which is great if you're looking for a reason not to buy or use a certain product but it's a rarity to hear a product user heap praise about a trouble free period with their product. Was previously a full time user of eliquis for AFib but now just for DVT with no issues other than those black & blue senior tattoos.

@emo44 Thank you very much for, I appreciate the response! Most likely I am going to go on the Eliquis, but we must remember Eliquis is not 100% that we would not form a cloth and no one can claim 100%. I think it’s 70% of course better than no protection at all thank you good luck to you also.
