@nickraosr NAC does help with mucus thinning/reduction for some people with Bronchiectasis - at dosages between 600-1200mg daily. Some people nebulize it instead. For me, I get the same results from Mucinex, so I stopped it because of the nasty taste. There are a number of discussions about it in this group.

NAD has been show to reduce inflammation for people with COPD, but has not been studied (yet) for Bronchiectasis. I have not tried it. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11645284/)

In general, I am leery of supplements because they are not regulated, so much research is required to find brands that undergo testing for purity and potency.

How do you choose the supplements you buy?

@sueinmn I read reviews online. Solicit input from those who have or are taking them. See what Mayo and Cleveland Clinic has to say along with Chat GPT

@sueinmn I recently found an app called Suppco that helps with finding some of the best quality supplements. You can look for new supplements, or put in your own supplements you currently take, and it will rate and rank them. I found it to be helpful in finding what they show to be better quality supplements. They break it down by cost too.
