I take both in pill form, 600 mg each, once a day. But I don't know if that's efficacious for bronchiectasis. It would be nice to know. Does anybody out there know?

@nickraosr NAC does help with mucus thinning/reduction for some people with Bronchiectasis - at dosages between 600-1200mg daily. Some people nebulize it instead. For me, I get the same results from Mucinex, so I stopped it because of the nasty taste. There are a number of discussions about it in this group.

NAD has been show to reduce inflammation for people with COPD, but has not been studied (yet) for Bronchiectasis. I have not tried it. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11645284/)

In general, I am leery of supplements because they are not regulated, so much research is required to find brands that undergo testing for purity and potency.

How do you choose the supplements you buy?

@nickraosr What brand/s do you take please?
