Hi. My name is Chaviva. I have had a low level of annoying pain all of the time for years in my neck and upper back due to straightening of the normal curve of the C spine and arthritis. I exercise regularly, tried chiropractic and osteopathic manipulation, get therapeutic massages every 2 weeks but nothing that I've tried has lasted until NOW!!! I am getting softwave treatments to my neck. After the first treatment, I felt great and could hardly believe it. That was short-lived, as after the second treatment I felt worse and got discouraged, but I had already paid for a series of treatments. After the 4th or 5th treatment, I began to feel an improvement. My massage therapist even noticed an improvement in the muscle spasms in my upper back! I suspect it is healing the arthritis. It activates stem cells to repair/replace damaged cells with new healthy ones. Softwave is being used for neuropathy and injuries and even bone fractures. I hope this info can help many of you. It is such a relief to be pain- free. We all deserve to be pain- free.

Hello Everyone,
I’m Georgia, I go to the Mayo Clinic located in Rochester MN. The picture is of my husband and me. I am a stage 4 breast cancer patient who, unfortunately has radiation induced sciatic nerve damage in my right leg.
The pain is bad and we have tried many things. The needles into my spine did not work and made the pain worse.
Currently, I’m taking Lyrica, and using Lidocaine, heat, cold, Advil and massage.
I learned of a treatment called Scrambler therapy. It sounds very promising. Mayo only does Scrambler therapy for neuropathy and only below the knee.
Has anyone used this to help with severe pain?

@georgiaw I tried Scrambler therapy back in March of 2025. I had high hopes that it would help with my neuropathy. Unfortunately, it did not help. The Doc stopped the treatments after the fourth session. He said that there was no point in going further because I should have experienced some relief. I was very disappointed. I know that it has helped a lot of people, just not me. It is not covered by insurance, so get your wallet ready, I wish you well.

@heisenberg34 thank you for the information. I’m praying that the scrambler therapy works. The pain dept at Mayo wants to put needles into my spine, but it made the pain worse last time. They also want to talk about a pain pump but I have not heard good things about that either.
I’ll be at Mayo Tuesday to meet with the pain docs. The following week we are going to visit my family in Pennsylvania. So we will have some time to discuss the pain situation.
May I ask what type of pain do you have and what has helped you?

@georgiaw
Good luck and let me know how it goes. It's supposed to help neuropathic pain but I don't know if there are only specific types of neuropathic pain that it helps i.e. the cause

@georgiaw hi. My pain is mostly muscular skeletal and decreased range of motion because of pain. I don't think that really matters. The chiropractor who does this treatment had three cervical discs that were damaged and they wanted to do surgery on her neck. She told me that the software prevented her from needing the surgery. I think if you go to the software website we may have some information about what it treats and how it works.

My pain runs from my lower back all the way down to the bottom of my feet. It started out due to a ski fall back in 2016. Just the back and butt. I had it well controlled with a spinal cord stimulator until 2021. It suddenly just stopped working. I had a pain pump implanted in 2023. It has never worked even though the trial worked well. I’m taking so many pills I can barely keep track.I’m in Delaware but I spent most of my life in PA. Monroe County to be more specific. Where in PA are you going?PS. I really hope the Scrambler therapy works for you. Please keep me updated. You can PM me or just let the whole gang know.😊

@insanepain Hello there
Rick Robinson here. I have had herniated and bulging discs in the T11-T12 area. Used many epidurals with little effect, had SCS implanted in 2014 and redone in 2022. Helps some if you can stand the tingling. Starting meds again with low level pain medication.

@1dbz
I’m from central Pennsylvania. A small town named Muncy on the Susquehanna. I’m also considering software Therapy. I just heard about this. I’m researching it to see if it is an option.

@rarobinson17 I have T1-2 & T7-8-9 herniations. Worst pain ever. Last year, I had 2 cervical fusions, discectomy, stenosis- nothing compared to thoracic pain. Also herniation L1-2 with radiculopathy. Debilitating 5 years of agony. I got strong PRP from a neurosurgeon in July. 35% reduction in pain. Huge for me. I'm want another round but $$$. I don't take pain pills. Ridiculously clean diet, peptides, supplements, HTR and modified exercises/walking. Can we get a micro discectomy?
