UPDATE: we’re moving forward with SBRT. Considering my low grade diagnosis (3+3=6 3+4=7 group 2 favorable intermediate) I won’t do testosterone therapy or anything else other than the 5 treatments. He even said active surveillance was still an option, but I’d rather just get it done and done. He gave a 90% chance of cure, with the usual ED/incontinence chances later on.

@jmgpdx68

I did active surveillance for 15 years after being diagnosed with 3+4. During those years, treatment methods became more accurate and more plentiful. If you have low quantity Gleason 4, like 10% or less active surveillance is a good option.

@jmgpdx68 did you have any evidence of EPE? Was testosterone therapy suggested? Did you have lesions on prostate?

@jmgpdx68 exactly my story. Surgeon meeting on Thursday. PETscan on 24th.

Radiologist at MAYO Phoenix was excellent.
2 3+4. And 2 4+3(70%)
Prayers!
