Safety of Steroid Imjection in hip labrum

I am getting conflicting views from the docs about the safety of a steroid injection to my hip labrum for a tear that is causing debilitating pain. The physiatrist said it was fine; the hip surgeon said only PRP as the steroid can increase the osteoporosis, and in some cases cause necrosis. My hip total T score is -2.4; femoral neck -2.8. I have finished a year of Evenity, and had Reclast a few months ago. The scores have not changed much in the last decade. I expect I will have other steroid injections for a knee and bursitis problem on that same side, but I don't that is concerning for osteoporosis. I do know not to have multiple injections in the same spot, so assuming I would try the hip one just once, and then move to PRP if needed.
Any thoughts on the safety of one steroid hip injection?
Thank you.

I had to have them just to be able to walk so that was important to me but probably not the best for my osteoporosis

Did your scores improve with Evenity or Reclast?

15% spine gain with Evenity, held steady with hip

I get epidurals in my spine. No one has warned me about necrosis. I can’t take the nerve pain without them. I hadn’t gotten any for years, but pain was keeping me confined to bed. I had one and could do things again. I get one every three months now. It’s either that or pain medication and I don’t want that.
