@ja24 My understanding is that 18.2 is an O.K. BMI. What have you been told?
My BMI is 17.6 and I am working on, trying to get it up. Hard to put the weight on with eating healthy. I do notice that what also raises the number on the scale is....lots of water. Stands to reason.
When i had been down ten pounds from where I am now, I was at nearly 90lbs and I am now at 101.77, I was so light that I was constantly tripping over myself as if I was about to fall. That ended with just that small gain in weight.

My BMI is 17.8 and I was told that this was not good. My average BMI for most of my life was 21 very healthy but once I went on the big 3 back in 2022 the weight fell off me. It is tough going as you do not have the same stamina. I got my BMI up to 18.5 but I started to get nausea from from the PPI I take for my GERD and found it difficult to eat. I am tapering this at the moment. Something else to deal with! Still on watchful waiting for my NTM. Keep working on eating a healthy diet, it is all we can do. These over processed calorific drinks like Ensure are not the best.

@blm1007blm1007 - According to my electronic scale, once you go below 18.5 BMI you are in the below normal range. That number has also been mentioned by the experts in Bronchiectasis and NTM. Good luck in keeping the weight on.
