Does anyone use CBD+CBG oil for inflammation in their feet (with SFN)

Posted by jchet @jchet, Sep 16 3:00pm

post by elana_l@elanal said she uses CBD+CBG oil to help with warmth and swelling in feet. If this person sees this, or anyone who uses these, please connect as I have questions I’d like to ask you. Thanks. Looking for a “needle in a haystack” to help with swelling or tightness in my feet due to SFPN.

@julkun I had the terrible burning feet when my SFPN really started about 16 years ago, but then it lessened. I don’t remember how low long before it got a little better…..wish I could tell you. But ever since I continue to have very warm feet and tightness, which feels like swelling in the tops of my feet, above the meditarsal area. (Both feet) I sleep wisest an cover off my feet and have ceiling fan running all night…….anything to keep them cool. I can fall asleep, but after about 6 hours the heat in my feet wake me up. I often take 25 mg of Benadryl at bedtime to help me sleep. I don’t take any pres drugs as they can cause other problems. I’m 82 and wish I could walk and feel my feet normally. I think I’d have more energy. Feels like I’m walking on stones. Wishing the best to you.

@jchet Thanks for your post. I wish you well and of course no more pain. What I understand from your post is that all pain is different for each sufferer. While cures aren't coming to us, we have to find different solutions to make life tolerable. What works for one doesn't work for another. The greatness of this forum is that we can learn and try things that we would never think of. Thank you, Mayo Clinic. Good health wishes to all.

Hi, I'm new to the group. I do use a CBD/hemp roll on for joint pain. I have tried it on my feet for neuropathy with some success. I use a nerve cream on my feet at night that seems to help. Also, essential oil balms like frankincense help.

I have used CBD cream for about 7 yrs. I use it on my legs and on my feet when necessary. I found that the strongest formula, 5000mg per tube is the most effective. Using it regularly, 2 to 3 times daily is most important. And ii needs to be massaged well
into the area. On most days it gives me 100% relief from pain and tingling and on bad days about 40%.
The kind I use is expensive but works well for me.
After much trial and error, I found r&r meds on the Internet.
If you mention my name you should get 25% off your first order. Marie Southgate
Off subject I like the CBD and CBN sleeping pills. They are mild and don’t leave you groggy. Good luck. I hope you find something effective.

Have you tried wearing ice socks ( Amazon) to bed? The socks have pockets for the gel packs. I keep 3 pair in my freezer. I wake up 2 or 3x during the night & change them out when they’ve thawed, as my burning feet wake me up. I keep Cerave’ moisturizing lotion in the fridge & apply that first, then put on the ice socks. It seems to calm the burning a little & then the ice socks completes the cooling effect. It’s not perfect as sleep is interrupted but it’s the only thing that’s helped. I keep fans going at night & cold bedroom. If feet start the burning feeling during the day, I keep a 33oz bottle of water frozen & roll my feet over it. Sincerely hope you get some relief.
