I always have appointment scheduled about a week after my scan ahead of time., I have bloodwork prior to Dr appointment. I think it is time for my team to discuss best treatment prior to my appointment.

@kevinmonroemi

I do likewise. I have an extensive blood draw (PSA, testosterone, comprehensive metabolic panel, & complete blood count) every four weeks. I schedule them so that my 12-week oncologist visit is the week after the blood draw, allowing for ample time for the results (the PSA is sent to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN & they are historically slow in reporting results to my hospital) to arrive & be examined.

@kevinmonroemi This is also how my oncologist and I do things. My cancer is aggressive and fast growing and I have been NED for 4 years. My bloods and scans have gradually increased to 6 monthly and we book the appointment when I leave from the appointment and they send the referral to the scan place who call me to organise the scans for a week before. It has worked well.

I personally choose not to read my scans and wait to see my oncologist so he can interpret them for me (as I misread them once and totally freaked out, unnecessarily)
