Has anyone tried Optimum? Hope or hype?
Has anyone tried Optimum? The ads make it look very appealing, but there are so many fake "cures" out there I was wondering if anyone has tried this and did it do anything? Thanks!

Good to be cautious…there are so many hucksters out there, even making AI ads that look like famous people endorse their products….we are eager to help ourselves, sometimes in a rush…we hear a lot about problems with meds and seek some way to strengthen our bones without awful side effects….it takes time to do the research and weigh the options…Mayo Connect is a great way to get help in that process. Wishing you good luck.

3 Reactions@nycmusic thank you, I agree! Hard to know if there is any truth to what you read which is why I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has tried it.
What is Optimum?
If they have to use an ad to entice you, then it's likely a scam.

1 ReactionDo you have osteoporosis? Can you share what your goal is in using a product like this.
Thanks
I have tried it for osteoporosis. I have not used it long enough to know the results. My research had no negatives to trying it but it has caused significant constipation despite good hydration.

1 Reaction@genevieve1980 what have you used? Thanks
@genevieve1980
Am I correct in thinking this product is a combined vitamin and mineral supplement?
Do you mind me asking your age, most recent dexa scores and whether the cause of your osteoporosis is due to loss of hormones during menopause? Or is another condition that has caused it?
@gravity3
Optimum is a mineral supplement, no vitamins. I’m 68. My osteoporosis is of unknown cause.
Are you hoping that the minerals will be enough to maintain your current level of bone loss? How severe is your Osteoporosis and what is your endocrinologist suggesting as a treatment plan? So much depends on the severity and what else you might be doing to help. Most Osteoporosis is caused by reduction of hormones during menopause. Are you on any kind of hormone replacement.
