I’m sorry to hear of your sudden loss. I just want you to know that, from my experience of losing my wife a year ago, you can’t really rush your grief. My grief has changed throughout the year but is not close to being finished. Don’t let anyone tell you that you should be better. You’ll know when you get better and everyone has a different time table. I have found grief groups helpful as well as a grief counselor. This is one of the hardest things that can ever happen to you and it takes time to deal with your hurt and pain. Good luck to you.

@joetex I am about 19 months out from my wife passing in her sleep totally unexpected, cardiac arrest, married almost 53 years and grief changes over time. But if you had a true love relationship as we did, I don't think you ever get over it or through it. For me, it seems like an endless journey and that relationship, the memories are carried forward with you in time, and you adjust in a rather new life without the other person physically with you. Agree, support groups help especially those involving loss of spouse or partner. The other people "get it". They know what you're going through having traveled the same road.
