Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

@maytag1947 I've tried Gabapentin it just makes me gain weight. The pain is so bad at night when I try to sleep
@corneliagd I wear Keen shoes and they have all types from hiking boots to walking shoes. They have a wide toe box and give me confidence in my stability.

1 Reaction@corneliagd I have been wearing Orthofeet sneakers almost a year. These work really well for my neuropathy.
Orthofeet does offer a 60 day trial. If it doesn't suit you, you can return.
I also wear Kuru sneakers and they work well also.
@cyndi2013 thank you very much for your answer. Great info!

Also New Balance have some runners and hiking boots in a wide and deep toe.
@greengold thank you!
Are you sure that it is peripheral neuropathy? I had a foot condition many years ago. I couldn't hike beyond about 10 minutes without crippling foot pain.
I treated it by buying runners and hiking boots with a wide and deep toebox (both were "New Balance"), I bought some foam toe spacers ( which I wore about 5 minutes 2x/day and bought Dr Scholl's "BALL OF FOOT PAIN", which are over- the-counter (from a drug store) inexpensive orthotics that I put inside my hiking shoes and my runners. You can get the regular ones for boots/runners or stylish ones for high heel shoes. ( high heels probably gave me the condition to start, so I no longer wear them). I haven't had that problem now for 12 years.
So for those having foot pain that may not be peripheral neuropathy, there is a few things to try and I would try them simultaneously ( strength in numbers).
@johnbishop
Not only do I have neuropathy, also bone spurs on the top of my foot but more importantly I am off balance.
For me, I wear shoes called “Hey Dude”.
I have a light blue with sparkles, black, and black with a cow print. I like the fun ones!
