@wendypics I always took prednisone with a light breakfast very early in the morning. My rheumatologist also recommended I take a small aspirin every day because I had vision problems with GCA. The prednisone and aspirin both bothered my stomach, so I have to take a PPI (pantoprazole) to deal with the stomach irritation.

If you're using the small aspirin as a blood thinner, maybe something like eliquis would be better for you and help you eliminate the ppi. I take my prednisone with one piece of dry toast and that keeps my stomach irritation in check.
